The Bigfoot Chronicles Saga When we first unleashed “Bigfoot Chronicles” upon the world, it was through a grand distributor named Our Alchemy Films (formerly Millennium Films — they rebranded right after we inked the deal, because why not?). For two glorious months, “Bigfoot Chronicles” was everywhere: DVDs at Walmart, streaming on every platform you could think of, and soaring in sales, nearly hitting the half-million-dollar mark. It was like Christmas came early. And then… silence. Not the good kind, like a peaceful forest, but the eerie kind, like when you realize you’re all alone in that forest and Bigfoot might be behind you.
Phones went dead, emails vanished into the ether, and I couldn’t get a peep out of anyone. Three months of playing Ghost Hunter later, I discovered our distributor had declared bankruptcy and vanished into the void.
Not only did our hard-earned cash disappear faster than a Bigfoot sighting, but our movie rights were sucked into the black hole of bankruptcy court. For the next five years, we wrestled with the legal system to reclaim what was ours. And just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, it did. With the rights finally back in hand, we discovered the film’s master had pulled a Houdini act. Six months of frantic searching turned up nothing.
Bigfoot Chronicles Saga continues: Fast forward to 2020, and we were left with a tough choice:
Throw in the towel, accept our fate, and toast to bad luck. It is not in my DNA to quit but honestly, things weren’t looking good. People told me that a movie about Bigfoot wouldn’t work.
Take the surviving footage and create something new. Given the blood, sweat, and tears poured into this project and the fans who adored it, we opted for door number two. We rallied a new editing team, spiced things up with fresh footage and narration, and christened our revamped creation “We Found Bigfoot.”
On October 30, 2023, it was reborn for a new audience and, guess what? It is a roaring success.
