Here’s the story: When we first released Bigfoot Chronicles it was released through a major distributor called Our Alchemy Films (formerly Millennium Films. They changed their name to right after we signed with them. Bigfoot Chronicles was on the market for two months and it was playing on all kinds of platforms including DVD distribution through Walmart and other places. It was a big hit. Gross sales were approaching a half million dollars in the first two months and everything looked rosy. And, then crickets.

I heard nothing from nobody. My phone calls were not being returned and there was no communication from nobody. Finally, after three months I learned the distributor declared bankruptcy and went out of business.

Any money we earned was gone but that wasn’t the worst of it. Our rights to the movie were assigned to the court because movie rights are valuable and the people the distributor owed had first rights. But, that that wasn’t the worst of it. It took us over five years to get the rights back. But it still wasn’t over. With the rights returned to me by court order, We couldn’t find the film’s master. Over the next six months we tried to track it down without success.

That was in 2020. The way we saw it, we had two choices:

1. Forget it, take the loss and chalk it up to bad luck

2. Take the footage and make a new movie. So, since we had so much money tied up in it, since so many people told us how much they enjoyed it and since the cast and crew worked so hard to make a good low-budget movie, we hired a new editing team to remake the movie. We added new footage, narration, and the name We Found Bigfoot, and on October 30, 2023, it was released for a new crowd to watch.
